Black Maternal Health Week

Black Maternal Health Week takes place every year from April 11 –17 and was officially recognized by the White House on April 13th, 2021. This weeks theme is: Building for Liberation: Centering Black Mamas, Black Families, and Black Systems of Care.


NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim April 11 through April 17, 2022, as Black Maternal Health Week.
