Denetra Hampton recently completed one of the biggest tasks in her scientific storytelling legacy. With the unearthing of what we now know as THE DIXIE 3 civil rights nursing story, educating on the social injustice around the country and now collaborating with the city of its' origin, Hampton, Virginia, for a historical marker is benevolent. It is a game-changer in education for the health sciences, and she is just beginning.

Recently, Denetra sat down with reporters at 13NewsNow in Hampton Roads, Virginia to discuss the legacy of THE DIXIE 3 and the upcoming screenings of her film, THE DIXIE 3: A Story on Civil Rights in Nursing.
