Updated: Dec 26, 2020

Denetra Hampton, Registered Nurse, is set to produce, write and direct a short film on racism in the profession of nursing. Just ahead of her much anticipated documentary, The Year of The Nurse and Midwife, the short film offers up conversation on an age-old truth in nursing, medicine and science.

Denetra says, " I believe that everything affecting our society affects nurses and that eventually will hemorrhage over to the nursing profession." The upcoming short on racism is to be released July 20th and lead into the Year of the Nurse and Midwife Film Project.

This is her third film out of the grassroots production company, For Nurses By Nurses Productions.
