Unpacking Cultural Influences

Culture plays a critical piece in shaping how we view health, influencing not just values and beliefs but also practices across the health sciences. This cultural context can shape research priorities, methodologies, and the interpretation of findings. Recognizing this critical piece is crucial for understanding health disparities and for tailoring interventions to meet the needs of diverse populations.

In our annual health equity digital campaign we will explore how culture influences health, science and research by examining factors like health habits, access to care, and the effects of social determinants. Our digital campaign engages social media on cultural nuances that impact health behaviors, and how cultural connections can empower researchers to create more effective and inclusive solutions for pressing health issues.
